A control booth can mean a lot of things to different people. Depending on the industry and location, a control booth can be used as an environmentally controlled enclosure overlooking an industrial line operation, or as a protected cab on a dredge, crushing machine or shredder, or as a traffic control security check point, or as a crowd control and ticketing booth. Control booths all provide the owner with a climate controlled building from which they can monitor and organize operations in a typically remote location.
For industrial operations, a control booth might be a loading operations’ exit point where truck drivers are required to submit or obtain weigh bills or even wait as their truck is being loaded. A control booth could also be an operator shelter, rack booth or guard shack – again it depends on the industry in which the portable steel building is serving. For many, a control booth is a “pulpit” with a view of a processing operation such as found in a steel mill, saw mill, or stone aggregate crushing and sorting facility. A control booth can also be an office that houses security and/emergency personnel in a strategic location.
For the busy management team, a factory assembled control booth made of welded galvanized steel allows for a convenient solution to the need for an enclosure or small building and eliminates the need for an on site contractor and the various trades. Generally all that is needed on site would be a concrete slab and a power supply. A control booth can have as few or as many windows as deemed necessary. The standard Par-Kut building does include flat windows in all four sides.
Control booth options include tipped out and sloped windows, unbreakable or break resistant windows, hinged or sliding doors, HVAC, hazardous location electrical, increased floor and wall load capacity as well as blank wall areas for mounting equipment, acoustical treatments, transformers, phone and data preps, factory installed computer floors, and more. All of the control booths from Par-Kut are fork lift or crane movable, or both. DTM polyurethane finish standard. Stainless steel and optional coatings are available, too.
For brevity, we will stop the blog now. The point is, for most any industrial application, Par-Kut can manufacture and deliver a factory assembled control booth that will meet your needs, and is built to your order.
